Gentle Dental Complaint
Billing Nightmare - Billing Dept is very inadequate.
Blue Cross doesn't understand this, they receive medical billings from oral surgeons every day and insist he is legally under contract to do this. They have reached out to Gentle Dental for four months trying to help them figure out how to correctly bill them. Gentle Dental promises to help and then sends them "dental" codes which does not help.
I am receiving threats of collections from Gentle Dental. I have contacted the billing rep repeatedly and said I will go ahead and pay this to avoid the stigma of a collection. She said she would look into this personally and contact their medical billing department and Blue Cross but this hasn't happened. On the 8th she said there was a 30 day hold on sending me to collections and that she had sent my file to her supervisor but wont give me his name. I called a local Gentle Dental and got the name of the collections manager and have left him a message but haven't heard from them.
The only reason I am willing to pay this bill and walk away is that I value my credit, have never made a payment to anyone late and cannot let a collection go on my record.
However, no one will even call me to take my payment so I suspect they are making their big money on collections. I am willing to hire a lawyer at that point as this has gone on too far.
